What are show plates?
A show plate is something of an all-encompassing name for any number plate that doesn’t conform to the DVLA’s strict standards for road-legal registration plates that every vehicle on UK roads must display. A show plate allows you to deviate from the size, font, character spacing and other standards set down by the DVLA for road-legal plates.
What are typical uses for car show plates?
Show plates are for any use other than as a replacement for legal registration plates that need to be properly displayed when driving on UK roads.
Show plates can be used to enhance the look of your vehicle at car shows, exhibitions, weddings, photoshoots, in your garage, on your drive or for use on private land where the UK laws regarding the manufacturer and use of number plates do not apply.
How to order your show plates
Ordering and receiving your show plates couldn’t be easier. All you must do is decide what you want on your show plate and then create your own design using the plate maker tool with its convenient drop-down menus here on this page.
Once you enter what you want your show plate to actually say you then chose your vehicle type, plate type, one or both plates, plate size, the character font, any border you want, the country badge if you want one, and finally details of any slogan you want to display on your plate.
As soon as you’ve completed your design you’ll immediately see a mock-up of what it will look like and price. Once you’re happy with your design, add it to your cart and complete the payment and let us do the rest.
Delivery
If you place your order before 3 pm Monday to Friday, your plates will be despatched to you the same day via Royal Mail.
