You may be wondering, what differentiates a 4D number plate from a 3D one? Both options certainly offer depth and sophistication to a car’s appearance, but there are subtle differences. Our 3D number plates are made with gel resin applied to an acrylic backing, forming the numbers and letters in a rounded shape. This gives them a three-dimensional effect, hence the term ‘3D.’
In contrast, 4D number plates feature a physical construction where the numbers and letters are laser-cut acrylic pieces and then physically attached to the number plate in an elevated position. This creates a sharp, more defined and outstanding ‘4D’ effect.
The choice between 4D and 3D is one of personal preference. Some people like the straight edges of a 4D plate, whilst others prefer rounded ones that 3D offer.
